Installation

Introduction

The installationfiles are delivered as installer packages (MSI files). The name of the SoftRules^® Composer installer package is SoftRulesComposer_vx.x.x.x.msi and for the Server it is SoftRulesServer_vx.x.x.x.msi (vx.x.x.x stands for the version of the software).

The installation of SoftRules^® Composer

Doubleclick SoftRulesComposer_vx.x.x.x.msi

Click Next

Read and accept the License Agreement and click Next

Chose the location where to install SoftRules^® Composer and click next

Click Install

Click Finish

Start SoftRules^® Composer

Login using the account that you have made on www.softrules.com.

Doubleclick the free license

Type a description for the workstation on which you are installing SoftRules^® and click Ok. The composer is now installed and you are ready to go.

Installing SoftRules^® Server

Doubleclick SoftRulesServer_vx.x.x.x.msi

Click Next

Read and accept the License Agreement and click Next

Chose the location where to install SoftRules^® Server and click Next

Klik Install

Click Finish

Start SoftRules^® Configuration Manager

Chose Setup - License

Login using the account that you have made on www.softrules.com.

Doubleclick the free license and fill in a description of your server

Click Ok and chose Server - Start.

The Server is ready now, but since no Configurations are loaded yet, it has a NOT Processing state.
