The log tab is used to display SoftRules^® logmessages. This can be errormessages from SoftRules^®, but also logmessages as a result from the Log Tool. Error messages are colored red. When the logmessages are blue, they are in fact hyperlinks to the Tool that produced the message. Very often the error can be fixed by modifying this Tool. But that is not always the case. If, for example, the Tool contains a formula that uses a an empty value. In that case the empty value can generate the errormessage, but there will be another Tool responsible for the fact that the value is not filled. So the cause of the error lies somewhere else. To find this type of errors, you can use the Debugger.

 

By doubleclicking the header contains the word Log, you can clear the log.

 

 

You can clear the log before executing a process from the Debugger, by setting the appropriate option in the Options menu.

 

By right clicking a Log line, this menu appears.

 

 

You can Save the entire log to the Windows clipboard, empty it or save it to a Text files.
