You can specify an In- and Out Adapter in the Configuration dialog. The Products in your Configurations communicate with the outside world using Adapters. So input XML's are delivered on an In Adapter and Output XML's are returned through an Out Adapter. Using the Configuration Manager this adapters can be coupled to a physical Port (like a TCP socket or a folder).
